I went to a fantastic concert this past weekend at Meadowbrook and thoroughly enjoyed Keith Urban. What a fabulous performance! A great singer and an outstanding guitarist. Everyone was satisfied with this tremendous performance. He has been nominated for so many country music awards and here is was in Gilford, NH with a packed house with close to 7,000 concert goers from all over New England.
Where can you go and see the Doobie Brothers and Chicago on the same stage during the same night which occurred the weekend before. Ted Nugent, Kenny Rogers, Steve Miller and so many others. I remember seeing the Moody Blues and Kenny Loggins and previous years what a treat…songs we grew up with.
Meadowbrook has been an amazing journey from when it first started in 1996 with its temporary staging for 2,500 seats and 2,000 lawn guests. Today the state of the art facility can hold approximately 6,487 concert goers and boy how this facility has morphed to the next level to become northern New England’s premier summer concert venue. This modern facility, adjacent to the shores of Lake Winnipesauke in Gilford, has been nominated for the music venue of the year by the Academy of Country Music four times in the last five years!
Meadowbrook is another reason why all of us are so fortunate to call “The Lakes Region Home” all the tourists, second homeowners, and year around residents of the region have thoroughly enjoyed watching Meadowbrook grow to this years 16th season. Meadowbrook attracts some of the top performers in the country and puts on a first class performance in a facility that is second to none!
