On Saturday, January 9, from 7-9 p.m. there will be a “celebration of life” fundraiser to raise money for Tuft’s Medical Center Cardiac Division. This event will be held at Faro’s Italian Grille (which used to be the old Lobster Pound in Laconia) and will be hosted by John Ganong of Roche Realty Group.
It is officially John Ganong’s 5 year anniversary with his new heart. John faced a very serious medical challenge when his heart collapsed 5 years ago. A vest with a computer and battery pack, and an artificial pump kept him alive, until he was able to receive a transplant at the hands of incredibly skilled surgeons. Today, there isn’t a day that goes by where John doesn’t feel appreciation for his new heart and his extended life – and he continues to show that gratitude with events such as this.
Ganong has raised about $8,000 in the previous four years combined. As John puts it, “I’ve got the best of the best as far as surgeons, and the best of the best as far as friends. It all comes together that night.”
All tips and donations raised during the 2 hour event will be donated to Tuft’s Medical Center Cardiac
