Are you looking for a home in the Lakes Region? Does carefree living and a convenient location interest you? Are you thinking about Gilford? Semi-Retirement? If so, take a look at Stonewall Village located on Watson Road!
I was searching for homes and came across this small condominium association
of just 37 single family, detached one level homes in Gilford. What first grabbed my attention: carefree, low maintenance living. After looking at everything for sale, I choose a great 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch over 10 years ago. Since then, I discovered that the location was perfect. Stonewall village is located at 136 Watson Road, Gilford, NH – near the intersection of Routes 3 & 11 (which is close to everything!) The communities are laid out nicely with cluster lots, and vary attractive architecturally designed ranches. Communities like this are rare in today’s market because most of the builders build two stories to take maximum advantage of the lot and more efficient construction cost.
However today’s market is calling for a strong demographic demand for one floor living, fueled by 77 million baby boomers who are approaching their retirement age. Stonewall village is the perfect semi-retirement community close to Gilford town beach, gunstock ski area, Gilford schools and major marinas with everything Lake Winnipesaukee has to offer.
There are three different floor plans, ranging from 1400 sqft. to 2200 sqft. with attached decks and two car garages that you can choose from. Prices have been ranging from $240,000 to $265,000. Each home includes a full basement, forced hot water heat, community water, town sewer and underground utilities; all with a desirable on floor living plans.
Once a year, there is an association meeting and general get together. This past year, we attended the party and it was great fun. We all had lunch at a neighbor’s house and enjoyed ourselves with plenty of gossip and comradery. The highlight of the meeting was hearing about all the things that were going on with the village.
