Hill is a residential town located in Merrimack County. It was incorporated in 1778 as New Chester, but was renamed in 1837 in honor of Isaac Hill a governor and senator during President Buchanan’s administration. Villages in Hill include Hill Center, Murray Hill, and South Alexandria.
