Summer recreation includes hiking, golfing, tennis, and water sports such as boating, sailing, waters skiing, swimming, yachting, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Winter activities include cross country trails, snowmobiling, ice skating, ice fishing, ice sailing, skiing, and winter hiking.

With its quaint downtown area centered around Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith also borders beautiful Lake Waukewan, a 900-acre lake with excellent year-round fishing and water sports, and the town limits include lakes Wicwas and Winnisquam. 

People who love arts and culture can frequent the Interlakes Summer Theater for seasonal performances, or check out the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra, NH’s premiere community orchestra with performances from November – May.
